About the event
This retreat will involve a mix of play and fellowship when we meet at Our Lady Star of the Sea on Friday August 2nd at 4:30 p.m. We will carpool together to the Lower South Fork Skokomish River, which is about a 1.5 hr drive. The hike is beginner friendly, and it will take us to a splendid portion of the skokomish river, giving us solitude, privacy, and beauty. A more detailed horarium will be given on the day of the retreat, but so that you can be more prepared, here is a general overview of the weekend. Friday: Arrive, Drive, and Hike to our camp site Saturday: Day of Silence & Solitude begins after morning prayer and ends after vespers.
